4TH Inter School Elocution, Drawing and Fancy Dress Competition

The world is extremely fast paced and developing in leaps and bounds. To survive these transitions, we decided that one option would be to increase the enthusiasm and self-assurance amongst school going children in major fields like that of public speaking, art and poise. The Competitions floored on the 24th of November, Sunday, 2019 at 10:30, in the Guirdolim Club Hall:
ELOCUTION Competition, open for students of Std VII to X (7th to 10th).
DRAWING competition, open for students of Std V to Std VII (5th to 7th).
FANCY DRESS competition, in junior category from Std I till Std V and senior category from Std VI till Std X (10th).

witnessing a majority of more than 40 trained students from various schools. An extra open category was also included for students who wished to participate outside their schools jurisdiction.

The topic choices for the Elocution Competition provided were as follows:

A) SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT: THE PROMINENCE OF PLASTIC POLLUTION.
B) SAINT MOTHER THERESA; DO SMALL THINGS WITH GREAT LOVE.
C) SUICIDE IS NOT THE ANSWER; #IQUIT.

Students were welcome to speak in two languages, either English or Konkani. Most participants spoke on suicide, it being a pressing topic worth discussion.

The topic choices for the Drawing Competition were as follows:

A) BEAUTIFUL GOA: THE PEARL OF THE ORIENT.
B) THE FATE OF THE FOREST; PRAYFORAMAZONIA.

These works of art by our mini painters, currently adorn the walls of our Club.

The theme for the fancy dress competition was open. It attracted trained tots who took over get ups of various characters like farmers, garbage, Mother Earth, poor workers, dancers, Rockstars, clowns etc.
